Expectations

The behaviour and attitudes of students is exemplary in and out of the classroom  -  OFSTED 2014

The school is a calm and purposeful place in which to learn  -  OFSTED 2014

Students at Beaumont demonstrate a high level of responsibility and are expected to respect all others in our community and beyond.

Visitors to our school frequently comment on the calm and purposeful learning atmosphere that is created and maintained by all that attend the school.

Students are expected to be prompt for school and lessons bringing with them all of the correct equipment for that day's learning.  Students are expected to wear their uniform correctly at all times including to and from school.

Behaviour at the school is very good.  Students are rewarded for their achievements both inside and outside of the classroom.  Where behaviour falls below the expected level, it is rectified using the ‘Behaviour Diamond’.  This shows all staff and students the opportunities for rewards and the consequences of falling below the school’s behaviour expectations.

Students are expected to attend school regularly and not to be absent without leave. The school is not legally able to authorise any holiday to be taken in term time. Schools do retain the power to grant leave of absence for specific exceptional events such as a family wedding or funeral or for reasons of religious compliance. All requests should be made on the leave of absence form which is available from Reception or here.
