CURRICULUM ENRICHMENT
The normal weekly timetable is the main method for delivering the broad and balanced curriculum on which Beaumont prides itself, but this curriculum is enriched by a carefully constructed programme of activities which enhances the pupils’ experiences and makes learning both more enjoyable and more effective.
In 2010/2011 there will be six Curriculum Enrichment Days spread through the school year when the normal timetable is suspended and students in each year group are involved in special curriculum-related activities, such as the Media Day, Outdoor Activities, International Day, and Economics, Geography, PE, Art, Drama, and History off-site activities. In addition, a whole week in July is dedicated to trips, visits, and on-site activities for Years 7-10.
The programme changes slightly from year to year. The 2010/2011 programme can be downloaded here.
Copies of the letters and booking forms sent home in respect of all CED Week school-based and residential trips will be available under the Information (Trips and visits) tab on the website at the appropriate time.
