The Sixth Form

The next round of applications for entry into the Sixth Form will be for September 2012; applications are due by 3 February 2012. You can download the application form for Beaumont sixth form here (or here as a pdf file) and the Prospectus is available here. Beaumont has a large and thriving Sixth Form comprising, currently, 290 students.  Around 80% of students from the Lower School move into the Lower Sixth every year. They are supplemented by a further group who choose to join from other schools at this point in their education. Typically this group numbers around 25 per year. The all round quality of Beaumont’s Sixth Form was recognised in December 2008 when the OFSTED inspection team assessed all aspects of its provision as “Outstanding” – the highest possible accolade.

Our most recent results, Summer 2011, were again excellent. Details are available here and a brief summary can be found here.

As well as a very high standard of teaching and student support, the Sixth Form offers an extremely wide range of curriculum options through its arrangements with the local Sandringham and Verulam schools, known as the BeauSandVer Consortium.

A Parent Information Evening about applying to University and related matters was held on 17 March; a copy of the powerpoint presentation can be downloaded here.
